Hi Anne, I loved this story. And I love that you still have your Old Navy pajamas that we bought fifty million years ago in Orlando. Sentiment is an important part of being alive. Sometimes a physical reminder isn't necessarily an impediment, it's a way to remember even if it "doesn't spark joy" hahahah
Oh, thank you, Gretchie! Many people have been asking similar questions. It appears as if many are facing the decluttering dilemma. Hmm...a blessing or a curse? I would say it depends upon how you frame it, and it is probably defined by where you are in the course of your life. However, as you know, I'm not a decluttering expert, nor do I play one on TV.
Attachment is part of who we are as humans. But, on second thought my rescue dog Scarlet is quite attached to a squeaky leopard toy which she had when we adapted her. So it’s not just humans who attach to things.
My point, if indeed there is one, is that we mammals need to attach or we float away.
Nice story Anne. I especially liked your consideration of what creates attachment beyond joy! Do your geraniums keep blooming fully?
Oh, thank you, Ruth! I'll have to tell you about the geraniums.

Oh, Aimless! Thank you so much! You're right about sentiment and one's attachment to something like ancient pajama pants!
I am attached to your entertaining "wonderments". Thanks for another lovely episode. My question: is a 3rd story attic a blessing or a curse?

Beautifully stated--as usual!!
This is one of my favorites!
Oh, Jane, I'm so glad you like it!
